Yandex has announced the launch of Yandex Pay cashless payment service, which owners of Yandex accounts and online businesses can now use for settlement.

In order to use the service, account holder has to add their bank card - Mastercard, Visa, or Mir. After that, the user doesn’t have to enter the payment data anew each time, as it will be pulled from Yandex. The company notes in the press statement that this method is both safer and more convenient, RBC reports.



Initially, the service will work only on websites, but in the future, users will be able to pay via Yandex Pay in mobile apps and offline as well.

“The possibility to pay for orders in Yandex services has been around for a long time. When people order food or a taxi, they use Yandex technologies that are tested by time. Now we are ready to offer this solution to other market players. Any company can put a Yandex Pay button on its website,” explained Alexander Golovin, Head of Fintech Services at Yandex.

You can add Yandex Pay directly or through application to an aggregator of payment services. Robokassa, Payture and RBK.money already provide this opportunity.
