Tinkoff has built and installed the first fully digital ATM “Kesha” in Moscow.

“This model is a new stage of development of banking equipment and the most innovative piece in Russian market as of the moment,” Tinkoff said in a press statement.

“Kesha’s” main advantage is the record large monitor size of 32 inches (in the Russian market) with 4K resolution. Instead of the keyboard, the ATM uses Pin-on-Glass touchscreen technology for entry of PIN codes.

It is also the first ATM is Russia that does not print receipts, as they are sent directly to the user’s smartphone.

Tinkoff’s digital ATM provides all usual services: cash lodgement and withdrawal via contactless cards, phones and QR codes. The ATM can also process transactions based on the clients’ biometric data.

“We were not satisfied with the existing models and wanted to secure better quality for our clients, which is why we created our own ATM. It is the fastest, the most convenient and technologically advanced. We have installed one in Moscow already, and soon, we’ll put “Keshas” in our Russian cities,” said Anatoly Makeshin, Deputy Chairman if Management Board and Head of Payment Systems at Tinkoff.

Tinkoff’s ATM network is comprised of over 1000 pieces nationwide in Russia. It is expected to add 500 more ATMs by the end of the first quarter of 2020.
