Our flight today will last about 30 minutes. The flight is scheduled to take place at an altitude of 16,000 feet. Enjoy your flight.”

Minutes before the inaugural Yerevan-Tbilisi flight, the pilot of the aircraft welcomes the passengers. One of the most impressive and pleasant moments was to hear the greeting in Armenian and to read the instructions in the native language: “Fasten seat belt while seated”.

Banks.am, along with several media representatives, had an opportunity to participate in the inaugural flight from the capital of Armenia to Tbilisi on October 30.

From now on, you can reach Tbilisi just in 30 minutes by plane, instead of a few hours by car. The flight passes unnoticed. While the crew serves water and pre-ordered food, the captain already announces about preparing to land.

By the way, if you have not pre-ordered any food, but want to eat on the plane, the flight attendants sell snacks and sandwiches on the spot.

The airline will operate 3 weekly flights between Yerevan and Tbilisi on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

“We believe that our airline offers its passengers the best days and hours for traveling in this direction, as it will give them an opportunity to spend their weekends in Tbilisi,” Antony Price, Chief Executive Officer of Fly Arna, told the reporters before the flight.

He said that this is also a great opportunity for passengers arriving from Moscow to Yerevan. “Our flight schedule in Moscow-Yerevan and Yerevan-Tbilisi directions makes it possible for passengers arriving from Moscow to depart directly to Tbilisi from Yerevan. Along with increasing the number of our destinations, we will offer our passengers more flights connecting Tbilisi. In the coming weeks we will announce more new destinations, among which is Beirut as well. We are currently waiting for the schedule, after it is approved, we will announce the frequency and time of the flights.”

Antony Price also noted that they will announce several new destinations by the end of this year.

“Now is a really important period for Fly Arna agreed with large-scale work on expanding the geography of flights. We work with around 500 travel agencies, and are closely cooperating with both the Armenian and Georgian Tourism Committees, to raise awareness about traveling in both directions and create exciting travel packages. We have recently opened a new travel agency in Armenia called Cozmo Travel, which is partially owned by Fly Arna. It is currently in the development stage and in the near future it will already offer tourist packages for all the destinations our airline operates flights to,” Fly Arna CEO said.

Journalists who participated in the inaugural Yerevan-Tbilisi had an opportunity to visit the attractions of Tbilisi and Mtskheta, participate in the master class on cooking national dishes and wine tasting.
