Yerevan /Mediamax/. According to the forecasts of Ministry of Economy, Customs Union membership will result in maximum of 1.5% inflationary pressures in Armenia. Minister of Economy Vahram Avanesyan stated it today commenting on the publications concerning the unprecedented price rises expected to occur after Customs Union membership.The Minister noted those statements are not the case.Vahram Avanesyan recalled that the 60% of 11.000 goods have higher customs duty in the Customs Union than in Armenia. But it doesn’t imply prices will rise for the 60% of those products in Armenia.He said the Armenian government is preparing a list of a number of goods on which negotiations will be held with Customs Union member states.
