Yerevan /Mediamax/. The issue of Armenia's membership to the Customs Union should be put to a referendum, MP of National Assembly, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan said this today. "Naturally, I understand that the results of the referendum may be falsified in order to legitimize the decision to join the Customs Union", he said. According to Hrant Bagratyan, in case of joining the Customs Union, Armenia should take up some steps, set up a relevant commission and demand dates from the Russian side to prepare the country's economy for the new situation. The MP forecasts that "we're expected to join a common ruble zone as it's impossible to conceive of the full Customs Union without ruble zone".Hrant Bagratyan said that there are also positive points in membership to Customs Union - development of brandy and wine production in Armenia in particular.
