Yerevan /Mediamax/. New flights Tel-Aviv-Yerevan and Yerevan-Tel-Aviv will open once a week from June 5.

Representatives of "Arkia" air company operating the flights stated this today, Mediamax reports.

General Manager of "Armenia International Airports" CJSC Marcelo Vende noted that it will give an impetus to development of tourism in Armenia and Armenia has a big potential of receiving tourists from Israel.

Director of "Arkia" air company's Armenian representation Alexander Nurock informed that the two-way ticket will cost from EUR310.

"We understood last year that the destination will be effective and we started working at opening flights this year. We think it will also contribute to deepening of relations between Armenia and Israel", said Alexander Nurock.

He informed that it's already 5 years that "Arkia" has been running flights Tel-Aviv-Tbilisi-Tel-Aviv.

Alexander Nurock also noted that from now on, Armenians leaving for Israel won't have to go to Tbilisi to get a visa. All the necessary procedures will be carried out through the Armenian representation of the air company.

"Arkia" is the second largest air company in Israel which services over 1.6bln passengers yearly. "GAPA" LLC is the company's representative in Armenia.
