Yerevan/Mediamax/. International Finance Corporation (IFC) allocated the Armenian government a grant for USD 1.9mln to improve the investment environment in the country.Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and Head of Caucasus Regional Office of IFC Thomas Lyubek signed the relevant agreement in Yerevan today, Mediamax reports. Tigran Davtyan said that within the cooperation with the IFC, reforms will be implemented in the tax, domestic trade, inspections and food security sphere.In his turn, Thomas Lyubek noted that the Armenian government’s readiness to improve the business environment was proved by the last year’s Doing Business rating where Armenia enhanced its positions by 6 points ranking the 55th. He added that small enterprise is the driving force of economy and in this perspective he especially pointed out the facilitation of works of small and medium enterprise and reduction of corruption risks. --0-- Tweet Views 4397
