Yerevan/Mediamax/. “BLESS” universal credit organization opened its first branch in Stepanakert at 1 Mesrop Mashtots. The head of the Board, “BLESS” Director General Hayk Stepanyan noted in his interview to Mediamax that opening of the branch was within the company’s strategic plans and this was conditioned by 2 main reasons.“From the very first day of its operation, the company has had many clients from the NKR and the founders decided to open a branch in this region and supply it with up-to-date equipment to ensure more effective servicing and introduce new credit products”, noted Hayk Stepanyan.Secondly, the company was initially planning to open a branch in this region stemming from the notion that “BLESS” should also make its own modest contribution to the NKR economic development.Simultaneously with the process of opening a “BLESS” branch, the company concluded an cooperation agreement with the NKR Foundation for Assistance to Rural Households and Artsakh Investment Fund which will provide issuing agriculture and business credits to small and medium enterprise representatives. The lending is made at subsidized rates and the state undertook the overwhelming portion of the interest load. The traditional credit products of the organization, consumer and business credits in particular, are also available to the clients of the branch.“There is rather a high competition on the NKR’s financial-credit market but the start operation of the branch indicates that we will manage to occupy relevant positions and provide our services to the population and economic entities”, stressed Hayk Stepanyan.Touching upon the question of further broadening of the branch chain, Hayk Stepanyan noted that there are no definite solutions in this area but the prospect of founding regional branches is within the company’s development strategy which will be implemented step-by-step in accordance with the results of the research of territorial markets.
