Staff reduction in HSBC Group won’t influence Armenia, HSBC Bank Armenia Marketing Department Head Mariam Adamyan told Mediamax today.On August 1, the British banking group HSBC announced intention to cut about 25 000 jobs worldwide by 2013 and stop activity in 20 countries to cut back on costs.According to Mariam Adamyan, the Armenian bank has a successful business model and the banking group is going to optimize its activity, leaving the markets where it is present only “for being present”.In 2010, “HSBC Bank Armenia” registered the highest profit index during the whole period of its activity: the annual profit of the bank before taxation made AMD 5.9bln, which exceeds the same index of 2009 by 132%.
