Georgia continues to apply to Armenia twice higher tariffs for transit cargoes than to Azerbaijan, said the Head of “Alternative” research center, Doctor of Economics, Tatul Manaseryan, in Yerevan today.The economist reminded that unlike Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia are members of World Trade Organization (WTO), exclusion of discrimination in the international trade being its major principle, Mediamax reports. “Moreover, Georgia and Turkey which also is a WTO member, do not adhere to the conventions regarding the landlocked countries, signed by them”, said Tatul Manaseryan, explaining that these conventions suppose a possibility for landlocked countries to use neighboring states’ sea ports free of charge.
