Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan said today that this year the sphere of industry will become the locomotive of the country’s economy.

Mediamax reports that the Minister said that according to the assessment of the Ministry of Economy, growth of industry volumes for the first half of the year made 10-12%.

“We have real growth in the volumes of production. Growth was registered almost in all spheres”, Minister said.

Tigran Davtyan noted that growth is registered in export. According to him, “taking into account growth of production equipment import, growth of import volumes cannot be considered negative”.
