Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan announced the end of structural changes within the Economy Ministry launched after his appointment in late 2010. Tigran Davtyan said that as a result of changes 5 basic departments have been set up in the Ministry: departments of investment policy and business climate improvement; industrial policy and SME sphere; foreign political ties; trade and tourism; quality and standards infrastructure, Mediamax reports. According to the Minister, the names of departments tune with priority directions of the Ministry for the coming several years. Touching upon the improvement of the business environment in particular, the Minister admitted that “last year we have slowed down the reforms because of the crisis, as a result of which Armenia’s rating has worsened”. According to Tigran Davtyan, in 2011 the Ministry is going to speed up the reforms and increase country’s rating in World Band Doing Business Ratings list at least by 5 points (today Armenia is ranked 48th list, dropping by 4 points within a year).
