Yerevan/Mediamax/. MP of “Dashnaktsutiun” parliamentary faction Artsvik Minasyan described second Armenian President Robert Kocharian’s statements as “a definite massage, sent to political parties”. Commenting in an interview to Mediamax on Robert Kocharian’s statements concerning upcoming parliamentary elections, made yesterday in an interview to Mediamax, Artsvik Minasyan stated that he did not see any forecasts concerning the outcome of upcoming elections in 2012 in the Ex-President’s words. “I welcome the stance of the second President concerning the need to secure the principle of competition at the elections, and I would wish from my part for the principle of justice to be observed as well”, Artsvik Minasyan stated. At that he suggested Republican Party of Armenia’s (RPA) representatives, who underestimate the role of the Ex-President, commenting on Robert Kocharian’s opinion concerning the RPA. Head of the parliamentary faction of the Republican Party of Armenia Galust Sahakyan stated that the relations of RPA with the second President are at a level, which does not require messages. Galust Sahakyan stated that he does not believe that the second President’s words had an implied meaning, however certain statements somewhat differ from the reality. “We cooperated with Robert Kocharian and supported him as a political force, had great advantages in the political field and thus contributed to the stability of the country. In the process of this cooperation, we had numerous discussions around political and strategic programs of the country; that is cooperation was not based on the mutual understanding of the player and the arbitrator; we played together and tried to win. And in these victories we always see the role of the second President of the country”, RPA representative stated. Commenting on Robert Kocharian’s stance on the necessity to provide for competition at the parliamentary elections, Galust Sahakyan stated that as a political force, RPA is always for separate representation, especially since “joint representation is dictated by time and not by the wish of particular political forces”.
