Yerevan/Mediamax/. In 2011, “Areximbank-Gazprombank Group” CJSC will increase the number of cash machines and POS-terminals.

Deputy CEO of “Areximbank-Gazprombank Group” Ruben Khachatryan stated today that the bank will increase the number of cash machines up to 58, and the number of POS-terminals – to 170.

As of the end of 2010, the bank had 45 cash machines and 128 POS-terminals.

“Armenia’s plastic card market is at a stage of impetuous development in the view of strong competition among banks. This is confirmed by the fact of abrupt increase in the volumes of card issue and volumes of transactions as well, and by the new card services introduced by the Armenian banks recently”, Ruben Khachatryan stated.

“Areximbank-Gazprombank Group” is the principle member of VISA International and MasterCard, as well as the member of local ArCa payment system with the status of a servicing bank. In 2009, the bank completed migration of its own processing center into the processing center of Russian “Gazprombank” (OJSC).

“Areximbank-Gazprombank Group” was the first among Armenian banks to introduce the service of on-line order of international plastic cards.
