Yerevan/Mediamax/. Inflation made 1.3% in Armenia in January-April, 2010. Mediamax reports that the Head of Price and International Comparison Statistics Department of the National Statistical Service Gurgen Martirosyan stated today that in April, 2010, inflation made 6.8%, as compared to the analogous period of 2009. In particular, the prices for grain products in this period increased by 1%, fruits and vegetables increased in price by 4.8%, and sugar – by 4.5%. Gurgen Martirosyan noted that 0.52% of the inflation falls on the share of increase of gas tariffs. Economist Samvel Avagyan noted that besides external factors, the inflation in Armenia was also influenced by internal ones. Among them are the inflationary manipulations from the part of companies dominating in the market, the extensive policy of the Central Bank, as well as increase of the monetary base. Tweet Views 11647
