Yerevan/Mediamax/. President of the Russian “Uniastrum” Bank, co-owner and Chairman of Armenian “Unibank” Board Gagik Zakaryan described the Armenian direction of his business as “quite important”. Mediamax reports that Gagik Zakaryan noted in an interview to RBC Daily newspaper that “Unibank” enters the list of top five largest Armenian banks and it owns 50% of this credit organization. “Jointly with Georgi Piskoy, we fully control the bank. And I consider this direction quite important. At present, “Unibank” has to compete with representations of largest Russian banks – VTB and Gazprombank. This is not easy, since the financial sector of Armenia itself is not yet large enough. But we are not going to yield our positions”, Gagik Zakaryan stated. Touching upon the activity of “Uniastrum”, Gagik Zakaryan noted that “we have over 50% of the market of money transfers in Armenia”. Tweet Views 14706
