Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) intends to ban the activity of bookmaker offices.

As NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan stated at the session of the government, the Cabinet of Ministers turned to the Republic’s parliament with the suggestion to make the corresponding changes in the legislation to stop the activity of bookmaker organizations starting from July1, 2010.

Ara Harutyunyan noted that the government “is taking up such a step basing on statements of citizens, in order to suppress negative influence on social situation in families”.
