Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian criticized the work of trade organizers of fairs today.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at the session of the government, the Prime Minister stated that the authorities’ strategy is very simple and clear: to introduce order to fairs, which represent the main obstacle along the way of combating shadow economy. According to Tigran Sargsian, significant part of trade in Armenia falls on the share of fairs and “it is impossible to take major business to the tax field, if there is a large channel of tax loss, represented by fairs”.

The Prime Minister informed that according to the decision of the government, organizers of fairs should provide working conditions for private entrepreneurs, in particular, introduce with the use of their own expenses control-cash machines (CCM) and secure the work of CCM network, connected to the information base of the State Revenue Committee.

However, Tigran Sargsian stated, judging from the situation formed in “World of Gold” market of gold items, owned by “Vagharsh & Sons” CJSC, the organizer of the fair moved the entire load to small and medium business by establishing additional payments for them.

Tigran Sargsian stated that honest taxpayers protest against self-willed actions of the fair organizer and ask to take the corresponding measures. Prime Minister ordered the State Revenue Committee to be more demanding and strict as to organizers of fair and not to bother representatives of small and medium business, who obviously have small trade turnovers.--0--
