Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia has been carrying our reforms for adjusting the sphere of accounting and audit to international standards for already a few years, Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan stated in Yerevan today.

“Now one should assess the stage we are at and the direction we will move in next”, Minister stated, speaking at the seminar “Observance of standards and codes in accounting and audit”.

Mediamax reports that the Head of World Bank Yerevan office Aristomene Varoudakis stated that application of standards of financial and corporate transparency in Armenia will allow correctly assessing the activity of this or that company, increasing confidence of investors, contributing to development of the capital market.

Aristomene Varoudakis also noted that corporate transparency stimulates availability of small and medium enterprise crediting, reduces financial risks and stimulates inflow of external investments.
