Turkey lifts restrictions on bilateral trade with Armenia

The Armenian Foreign Ministry has welcomed Turkey’s decision to lift restrictions on bilateral trade with Armenia, “which is another result of the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Turkey.”

“This decision is essential in terms of expanding trade and business ties between the two countries, promoting economic connectivity in the region, and ensuring peace and prosperity.

We would like to emphasize that this is an important step toward the establishment of full and normalized relations between the two countries, which could logically continue through the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border and the establishment of diplomatic relations,” noted Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan.
