Yerevan /Mediamax/. Net profit, gained by “Unibank” following the results of 2008, made 1bln 729mln AMD, having almost fivefold exceeded the analogous index of 2007.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of “Unibank”, the bank’s assets in 2008 exceeded 68bln 141mln AMD, securing growth by over 49.4% in the course of the year.

The total capital of the bank increased by 25.8% and exceeded 8bln 822mln AMD. The bank’s commitments in 2008 increased by 53.7% and made 59bln 319mln AMD. The volume of credit portfolio increased by 17bln, making 46bln 691mln AMD.

The press service noted that “Unibank” has been preserving leading positions as to term deposits of individuals two years on end – as of December 30, 2008, the index reached 32bln 541mln AMD. The increase of the volume of individuals’ term deposits made 27%.

Following the results of 2008, the turnover of “UNIStream” system in Armenia made over $801mln.
