Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) denies suppositions on possible interconnection between the Russian-Ukrainian gas conflict and interruption of Russian gas transit to Armenia. Mediamax was told this today in the press service of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation. They also noted that the reasons of the damage on the main gas-pipeline are not known yet. This morning, Georgia interrupted transit of Russian gas to Armenia because of damage on the main gas-pipeline. It is expected that the recovery works will last for about 5 days and Armenia’s gas supply will be realized from “ArmRosGazprom” gas-storage before the works are concluded. At present, the price for Russian gas, imported to Armenia, makes $110 for 1 thousand cubic meters. Starting April 1, 2009, the cost of Russian gas for Armenia will make $154 for 1 thousand cubic meters, and starting April 1, 2010 the price will grow up to $200 for 1 thousand cubic meters.
