Through the MaxMonitor media monitoring and analysis system, Banks.am presents a brief report on the coverage of Visa and Mastercard in Armenian online media in July 2024.

In July, monitoring of approximately 150 news sites revealed that Visa was mentioned 261 times and Mastercard was mentioned 32 times.

Visa

In most publications related to Visa, banks present the types of Visa cards they serve and their advantages.

•    The premiere of the symphonic performances of Charles Aznavour’s favorite songs, dedicated to his 100th anniversary, was financed by the non-cash payments made by over 250,000 Acba Bank Charitable cardholders.

•    Amio Bank has introduced AMIO Visa Digital, AMIO Visa Platinum and AMIO Visa Infinite cards, which enable making purchases outside the territory of Armenia, in foreign online stores.

•    On the opening day of Amio Bank’s Erebuni branch, all customers received Amio Visa Gold cards worth AMD 10,000 for free.

•    Within the framework of the joint campaign with Unibank and Visa, valuable gifts will be raffled off among the bank’s cardholders. Unibank also offers Visa Classic and Visa Gold cards with a special design dedicated to the Paris Olympic Games.

•    Head of IDBank’s Premium Banking Division, Lida Safaryan, spoke about the Visa cards served by the bank.

•    Armeconombank announced new benefits of the premium Visa Infinite and Visa Platinum metal cards.

•    Telcell announced the opportunity of opening a Visa digital card in the Telcell Wallet application.

Mastercard

•    Fastex has launched Web3 debit, Fastex Physical Card that allows users to make purchases worldwide and withdraw cash at all ATMs that accept MasterCard.
