A new HayPost branch and an adjacent pharmacy, opened in Debet village of Armenia’s Lori Province, the first one in the village. The new HayPost office was constructed in partnership with the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF).

“The modern facility provides residents with access to HayPost’s complete package of services and products. The staff, previously made up of one person, now includes 3, which will significantly improve customer service.

HayPost.Med, will provide the community with high quality and affordable pharmaceutical products and also make orders and deliveries,” the news release reads.

Araik Abrahamyan, Interim Chief Executive Officer of HayPost, noted that this is the first branch of its kind that opened in a rural area.

“HayPost performs an important social function in all villages of Armenia. HayPost has new programs aimed at improving rural life, which we will present to the public in the near future,” Araik Abrahamyan said.

COAF Managing Director Korioun Khatchadourian said in his turn, that more job opportunities have been created and a modern work environment has been established in Debet.

“Our educational program graduates can potentially seek employment and practice the skills they’ve gained through our career development programs. Our strategic partnership with HayPost can have an even greater impact going forward, as the project can be scaled and applied across the country,” Korioun Khatchadourian noted.

COAF’s Economic Development programs focus on business and infrastructure development, designed to bring economic growth in rural Armenia. Since 2004, the organization has renovated 170+ infrastructure units, addressing poverty and system social vulnerability in 60+ rural communities.
