Yerevan, December 14 /Mediamax/. “VTB Bank (Armenia)” presented its renovated “Armavir” branch today.

Mediamax reports that the General Director of “VTB Bank (Armenia)” Valeri Ovsyannikov stated during the ceremony that “Armavir” branch is “one of the best branches of the bank in the territory of one of the best regions of the country”.

According to Ovsyannikov, the Armavir region has considerable economic potential, and the bank has prospective plans concerning the work with retail and corporate customers. Besides, Valeri Ovsyannikov expressed hope that, given the participation of the bank, investment programs will also start being realized in the region.

By the end of the current year, “VTB Bank (Armenia)” is planning to conclude the renovation of all the branches in the capital city, and by the end of 2008 - all the branches in Armenia. The branch network of “VTB Bank (Armenia)” includes 89 branches, 36 of which are functioning in the capital city.

Head of the Armavir marz Ashot Kaghramanian stressed that the growing number of bank branches in the territory of the region leads to the increase of competition, which benefits the customers.

Answering the question of Mediamax, Valeri Ovsyannikov commented on the HR policy of “VTB Bank (Armenia)” in the view the arrival of new players in the Armenian banking market.

“The bank attaches great importance to the personnel potential, many of the young professionals, who enter the banking sphere, are worth the further growth, in which we will be supporting them in every way”, the General Director stated.
