Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan has received the delegation from French dairy cooperative Sodiaal.

The company’s sales director Anil Bhat told that Sodiaal is a leader in the French market, holding an over 25% share in total milk supply.

According to him, the company wants to research expansion opportunities in Armenia, because it is not yet represented in this part of the world.

“We are interested in Armenia, because it is a window into a large market – the EAEU,” said Anil Bhat.

Sodiaal is ready to share with Armenian partners the experience of foundation and efficient operation of a cooperative.

The Armenian Ministry of Economic Development and Investments said they are considering implementation of certain stages of production in Armenia in the first phase of cooperation plan with Sodiaal. Collaboration within CIS is also a possibility.

The Sodiaal delegation has already held several meetings with Armenian dairy producers.
