The National Bank of Azerbaijan registered the worsening of capitalization situation of the country’s banking sector.

Mediamax reports referring Trend that, as of September 1, eight banks had not fulfilled the requirements of the National Bank as to the minimum volume of the aggregate capital, which by July 1 should have made not less than 10mln manats.

In the course of August, NBA registered the decrease of capital in two more banks.

In 7 banks the capital is formed within 5-10mln manats, and one bank – within the range of 3,5-5mln manats.

The aggregate capital of the 43 banks functioning in Azerbaijan as of September 1 made 935, 4mln manats, having increased for 55%, as compared to the beginning of 2007.
