Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated that Armenia is ready to support the creation of dialogue and economic cooperation development between Iran and Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).The PM said about it during his meeting with Eshagh Jahangiri, First Vice President of Islamic Republic of Iran, who is in Yerevan on an official visit.Hovik Abrahamyan stated that Armenia can be a good platform for Iran-EEU cooperation and expressed readiness to support Iran-EEU dialogue on behalf of the government.“We have always attached great importance to the continuously developing relations with our neighborly and friendly state Iran. Iran is one of our key partners with which we have a rich agenda of cooperation”, Hovik Abrahamyan said.Hovik Abrahamyan and Eshagh Jahangiri expressed the content with the start of Armenia-Iran high-voltage 3rd transition line construction and confidence that it will be completed according to the schedule by 2018. The Armenian PM stressed that the construction of the 3rd line will allow our country to increase the volume of gas-energy exchange starting from 2018.The sides also discussed the further actions related to construction of Meghri HPP. The Armenian PM and Iranian First Vice President also touched upon road infrastructure projects, particularly North-South Road Corridor Investment Program and Armenia-Iran Railway Project.
