Yerevan, July 11. /Mediamax/. In 2005, 19 of 21 Armenian commercial banks paid the profit tax totaling AMD 1 million and more, the Yerevan Golos Armenii newspaper wrote today. “Armsiwissbank” and “Armenian Development Bank”, coming at the end of the list, have shown the most modest figures - over AMD 2 million. The list is concluded by “Mellat Bank”, “BTA-Invest Bank”, “Cascade bank” and “Arminvestbank” with the index of the profit tax paid to the budget from AMD 4,5 million up to AMD 13,7 million. The profit tax index of other commercial banks tens and hundreds times exceeds the minimal figure of AMD 1 million needed for being included into the list. Thus, the list is headed by “Ardshininvestbank” (nearly AMD 720,9 million) and “Conversebank” (nearly AMD 689 million). They are followed by “VTB-Armenia Bank” (AMD 419 million), “Armeconombank” (over AMD 347 million), “Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Armenia” (AMD 323,7 million), “HSBC Bank Armenia” (AMD 313,5 million), “Inecobank” (over AMD 295 million) and “Bank Anelik” (nearly AMD 172 million).
