Yerevan, June 20. /Mediamax/. The growth of Armenia’s GDP in January-May 2006 totaled 10,5% as compared to the same period last year. As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the GDP volume in January-May 2006 totaled 566577.5mln drams. The volume of industrial production in the republic in January- May 2006 stood at 242235.4mln drams, having decreased by 1,9% as compared to the same period 2005. The average monthly salary in Armenia in January- May 2006 increased by 20,2% as compared to the same period last year, thus making 58745 drams. The salary of budget organizations has increased by 24,8%, making 41632 drams during the accounting period, and the salary of non-budget organizations stood at 71721 drams (growth - 16,9%).
