Armenian government approves a mid-term expense program for 2007-2009

Yerevan, June 8. /Mediamax/. Today, the government of Armenia approved a mid-term expense program for 2007-2009, which will be submitted to the parliament by 1 July.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Armenia Pavel Safarian said today that the state budget for 2007 will be drafted on the basis of this mid-term program.

According to the program, in 2007-2009 the average annual GDP growth in Armenia will total 6%, the inflation -3%. Tax revenues to the budget in 2007 are planned at the level of 421bln drams, in 2008- 471bln drams and in 2009 – 522bln drams.

According to the provisions of the mid-term program, in 2009 the minimal salary in Armenia will increase up to 30 000 drams instead of today’s 15 000.
