Director of "Grant Thornton" CJSC Gagik Gyulbudaghyan welcomes the initiative of the Armenian Prime Minister to publish the audit data of major companies in one place.

Tigran Sargsyan made such a proposal at the governmental session on January 31.

"We hail all the measures taken up to make information more transparent and affordable. We ourselves come across cases when it's very hard or almost impossible to find information on any company from available sources. We have noted many times that the law on mandatory audit of major enterprises will serve its goal fully when definite mechanisms of ensuring control over audit quality and provision of public presentation of the companies operation will be ensured. The law has been in force for already 3 years and envisages distinct order of publication of audit conclusions while there are companies among major ones which don't even have their own site. From this viewpoint, we think that at least the last of the two issues I mentioned will be resolved owing to joint information source", Gagik Gyulbudaghyan told Mediamax.

"We also share the standpoint that the state should apply a differentiated approach to the companies where substantial problems were revealed with strong implementation of the function of administrative control unlike the companies which audit conclusions don't contain serious problems", noted "Grant Thornton" CJSC Director.
