Yerevan/Mediamax/. Ameriabank Development Director Tigran Jrbashyan said in Yerevan today that according to his forecasts, the AMD rate will be equal to AMD 400 for USD 1 over 2012.

According to him, such developments are logical in the light of the economic processes across the globe and the Armenian government’s strategies on boosting export. “We should just hope that the devaluation of the dram will take place gradually and not within a day”, said Tigran Jrbashyan.

Since early 2012, AMD have decreased on the exchange by 6.4% or AMD 23.34 having made AMD 387.38 for USD 1 as of January 25, 2012.
