Sitronics Armenia (subsidiary of Russian Sitronics Company) will get a response from the Armenian government to its request to establish a free economic zone on the territory of Mars factory and Yerevan Scientific Research Institute of Mathematical Machines (YSRIMM).The request was discussed at the first session of the interdepartmental commission coordinating the activity of free economic zones today, Mediamax reports.Sitronics General Director Armen Khachatryan said that the company plans to establish and manage a free economic zone with a total territory of 100 square kilometers equipped with all the necessary infrastructures, by investing a total of USD 10mln.The Chairman of the Commission, Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan stated that the main aim of establishing free economic zones is to attract foreign investments and boost the export growth by introducing modern technologies.
