Yerevan/Mediamax/. Investment portfolio of the Eurasian Development Bank in Armenia reached USD 80mln in 2011.

Mediamax was recalled in the bank’s press service that Ameriabank and Armbusinessbank were granted credits on target funding programs for developing small and medium enterprise. Within the programs, over 40 subjects of small and medium enterprise got funding at a total amount of USD 50mln.

The bank also granted trade funding within the program of importing wheat grains of USD 30mln to Armenia in 2011.

Projects in energy sector, agricultural production and consumer goods are now under various phases of revision. The projects for new target programs of crediting financial institutions in trade and microfinance are also being considered.

“From the moment Armenia was included in the members of the bank in April 2009, the EDB has been actively realizing work for searching and implementing investment projects within its mission and strategy in the republic”, said the head of the EDB Yerevan office Sergey Elizarov.
