HSBC Bank Armenia resumed the maintenance of VISA and MasterCard international cards on its ATMs and began the maintenance of Armenian ArCa cards.Mediamax reports that Director General of the bank, Astrid Clifford, said in Yerevan today that the maintenance of these international cards emitted by other banks, which has been stopped in late 2009 due to some technical reasons, became possible after the update of the software worth $1mln.According to her, the update of the software allowed the bank to reduce commission charges for cash withdrawal. Astrid Clifford also said that the cards issued by the bank will be Chip protected, which means higher security level.According to Astrid Clifford, in addition to 53 usual ATMs the bank was the first in Armenia to install new Drive-Through ATM machines at Arax petrol station on Myasnikyan Avenue in Yerevan enabling the customers to withdraw cash without leaving their vehicles.
