Yerevan/Mediamax/. World Bank (WB) intends to allocate credit means at the volume of USD 200mln for Armenia within the nearest two years, aiming at assisting economic growth and combating poverty. Mediamax reports that Head of World Bank Yerevan Office Jean-Michel Happi said this at the joint news conference with Armenian Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan in Yerevan today. According to him, in order to receive financing, the Armenian side should present target programs, aiming at diversification of economy and reduction of poverty. Financing will be provided at standard preferential conditions. Among directions of target programs, Jean-Michel Happi noted state governing reforms (tax and customs administration, tax-budgetary management, social programs, improvement of business environment), development of agriculture and the sphere of healthcare. Vache Gabrielyan in his turn noted that assistance of the WB is important for Armenia in the period of post-crisis revival and will help the country reduce vulnerability of economy, providing for commensurate economic growth.
