At that, he stressed that Armenia has huge strategic assets – the Armenian Diaspora, which funds numerous projects in the republic, and expressed confidence that the country should more actively use its resources. Guillermo Tolosa also stated that Armenia at the moment faces big problems, related to inflation. According to him, IMF is expecting reduction of prices in the world market, and this will surely have its effect on Armenian economy. And the Head of Yerevan office of OSCE Sergey Kapinos stated that Armenian economy needs system changes. He noted that many of the problems, existing in Armenia today, have their roots in the 90s of past century, and concretely – in oligopolies. Sergey Kapinos stated that Yerevan office of OSCE has realized 20 economic programs over the past years, but their efficiency was not high, and they could not change the existing distribution of incomes and the economic system, which mainly depends on transfers from outside.
