On February 1, as a result of abundant snowfall, number of traffic accidents abruptly increased on Armenian roads, and, as a result, the number of insurance cases under CTP increased as well. As a result of the survey, held by Mediamax today in all Armenian companies, which insure Third-Party Liability, it turned out that on February 1, 8 insurance companies received 710 calls in total concerning CTP. The greatest number of calls was registered yesterday in “Rosgosstrakh Armenia” (360 calls, the number of registered traffic accidents -115). The company noted that the sum of insurance payments as to the above-mentioned cases may reach 20mln AMD. Significant number of calls on traffic accidents were also received by “INGO Armenia” (124 calls, of which 79 in Yerevan), “Nairi Insurance” (70 calls), “RESO” (46 calls) and “Garant Limens” (over 40 calls) companies. “Sil Insurance” received 28 calls on February 1, “Cascade Insurance” – 20 (as well as 14 applications for receiving compensations), and “RASCO” Company received 17 calls. Over half of the people, who turned to insurance companies, have already submitted applications to receive CTP compensations. The Companies noted that as compared to average daily number of calls, received by the insurers in January, on February 1, the number of calls increased 2-7 times. Head of Patrol Service Department of Armenia’s Traffic Police Norik Sargsian informed Mediamax today that on February 1, the Police registered 8 traffic accidents with 9 cases of bodily injuries on the territory of the Republic.
