The proposal of “HayPost” company on the development of Armenia’s postal service is under discussion, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Armenia, Susanna Tonoyan, said in an interview to Mediamax today. She informed that at the end of last week “HayPost” submitted to the Ministry the necessary information about the volume of investments, the terms of execution of the program and new postal services. Susanna Tonoyan also said that the Ministry will present its decision to the public after the discussion. Spokesman for “HayPost” Gevorg Abrahamian abstained from commenting on the proposal the company has submitted to the Ministry. The program for the development of the postal service is declared to be one of priority directions of activity of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Armenia in 2011. On January 25, Minister Manuk Vardanian said that the government is going to change the principle of management of republic’s postal system and pass from trust management to concession one.
