Yerevan /Mediamax/. Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan stated that the capital city of Armenia should become attractive for business. Mediamax was informed in the press service of the City Administration that Karen Karapetyan said this at the meeting with the Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Paul Henry Forester. The sides discussed at the meeting the process of realizing programs, financed by EBRD, in Yerevan. In particular, Paul Henry Forester presented to the Mayor the program on providing for the Metro security, which implies realization of initial capital investments for Metro modernization.The first stage of the program is already in process of realization and the sides have agreed to start works, provided by the second stage of the program, in 2011. They also discussed projects, related to elaboration of the policy for building car parking lots and Nubarashen landfill management. In the nearest future, EBRD will present its concrete suggestions on these two projects to the Mayor of Yerevan. Tweet Views 7853
