Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian government made a decision to facilitate the conditions of “Affordable Housing for Young Families” program for residents of the country’s regions.

Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan stated at a briefing today that the interest rate of state subsidizing for residents of regions will make 4% instead of 2% in the capital. Due to these changes, the interest rate of a mortgage credit for regional residents will make 6.5-7%.

The size of prepayment for young families in the regions will make up to 10% from the cost of the housing, instead of 30%, established for young families, residing in Yerevan.

Tigran Davtyan stated that according to the facilitated conditions, a guarantee letter from a large enterprise, which enters the list of 300 top taxpayers of Armenia, can be presented as a deposit.

Since the launch of “Affordable Housing for Young Families” program, 137 credits have been provided: 99 in Yerevan and the rest in the regions of Armenia.
