Yerevan/Mediamax/. 1500 children from underprivileged communities in Armenia have benefited from HSBC Global Education Trust’s “Future First” Programme, which has been realized since 2007. Mediamax was informed in “HSBC Bank Armenia” Marketing Department that within the framework of the program AMD 55 million has been directed towards the implementation of education projects in Armenia through local NGOs. Four public organizations have become the winners of the grant program in Armenia: 2010 – “Liarzhek Kyanq” and “Future is Yours”; 2009 – “Children of Armenia Fund” (COAF); 2008 – “Junior Achievement of Armenia” (JAA). “I am proud that HSBC makes it possible to create lasting change in Armenia, by enabling children from marginalised and disadvantaged communities to access opportunities for their own advancement”, said Astrid Clifford, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Armenia.
