Finance Minister of Armenia Tigran Davtyan said in the interview with Mediamax that the government’s plans to release private investors from VAT payment while making investments in authorized capital is called to remove the existing obstacles. Commenting on amendments approved by the government, made in law on “Added value tax”, according to which private investors are released from VAT payment while making investments in authorized capital, Tigran Davtyan said that the decision is caused by many complaints made by domestic and foreign investors. “VAT payment while making investments in authorized capital in fact prevents from making many deals. I think this amendments will register a considerable shift in the sphere of authorized capital replenishment of enterprises”, said Tigran Davtyan, stating that the Parliament is expected to approve the amendments by the end of 2010.
