Yerevan/Mediamax/. Following the results of 2009 fiscal year, “Armeconombank” OJSC will pay dividends at the volume of 175 AMD per each share or 7% of their nominal value.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at the general meeting of “Armeconombank” shareholders in Yerevan today, Chief Accountant of the bank Vardan Babayan informed that the bank will direct 163.3mln AMD to paying dividends. The payment of dividends will start on July 25.

Member of “Armeconombank” Board Anahit Simonyan noted that the shares of the bank are the only banking shares, quoted on “B” exchange platform of “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” Fund Exchange and their balance and market cost (9320 and 7330 AMD respectively) following the results of 2009 exceeded the nominal cost (2500 AMD) 3.7 and 3 times respectively.

The bank pays dividends the seventh year in a raw. The size of the dividend per one share following the results of 2008 fiscal year made 250 AMD. 

Presenting the results of the bank’s activity in 2009, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of “Armeconombank” Hayk Mkrtchyan stated that despite the crisis, the bank managed to overcome the difficulties and register growth as to the key indices.

“Assets of the bank in the accounting year of 2009 increased by 4.6%, making 52.2bln AMD, the liabilities – by 5.4%, making 43.5bln AMD. The credits, issued by the bank and other lending increased by 8.1% and made 29.2bln AMD. The liabilities of the bank to customers increased by 16.9% and made 24.4bln AMD. The term deposits of individuals in the bank registered growth by 22.5%, making 6.1bln AMD. The total capital of the bank in 2009 increased by 0.7%, making 8.7bln AMD”, Hayk Mkrtchyan stated.
