Yerevan/Mediamax/. “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” published a manual on the capital market.

Mediamax reports that the General Director of the Exchange Armen Melikyan stated today that the manual is mainly meant for the youth and is aimed at increasing the awareness of the society on the capital market.

The manual is called “Visiting NASDAQ OMS Armenia Stock Exchange”. 2000 copies are published and will be spread in investment companies and higher educational institutions free of charge.

The manual explains the essence of various types of securities, reasons, why companies come to the capital market, process of initial placement of stocks (IPO), issues of protection of investors’ rights. The manual describes also the mechanism of sale and purchase of securities in the capital market of Armenia, the activity of investment companies, as well as the main functions of the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA).

The manual is published, given financial assistance of the Muscat Stock Exchange (Oman), within the framework of cooperation among members of Federation of Eurasian Stock Exchanges (FEAS).
