Yerevan/Mediamax/. “Unibank” plans to launch its own processing center in July.

“The decision on setting up an own processing center was made in connection with impetuous growth in retail business development”, Mediamax was informed in the press service of “Unibank”.

They noted that the own processing center will allow the bank significantly increasing the volume of card issue and offer customers more attractive terms on credit cards.

“Given the launch of an own processing center, our product line will expand, we will be able to create joint projects with producers and trade networks. We have already concluded tentative agreements on cooperation with a few famous companies aiming at launching a loyalty program”, Card Business Development Director of “Unibank” Mesrop Hakobyan stated.

The investments in the project have made over $1mln.

As of June 1, 2010, “Unibank” had issued over 43 900 cards, 32 984 of which – VISA. The number of installed cash machines makes 69. The further plans of the bank include issue of chip cards, expansion of the network of cash machines and self-service terminals, as well as participation in MasterCard system.
