Yerevan/Mediamax/. Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration of Armenia Armen Gevorgyan and Shirak Marzpet Ashot Giziryan visited N6 music school in Gyumri, which will be rebuilt within the framework of Rock Aid Armenia/Armenia Grateful 2 Rock project. The project of school rebuilding is being jointly realized by Mediamax, “Do Something” Australian organization and the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR). Mediamax Director Ara Tadevosyan and Head of FAR Yerevan Office Bagrat Sargsian presented the project of the school building to the Vice-Prime Minister and Shirak Marzpet, familiarized them with the process of fund raising, in which British rock stars - “Deep Purple” lead singer Ian Gillan, “Black Sabbath” guitarist Tony Iommi and “Asia” keybord player Geoff Downes have their direct participation. It was noted at the meeting that $70 000 has already been raised for the school construction: $45 000 represent the proceeds from Ian Gillan’s two charitable concerts in Yerevan, and the Armenian government allocated 10mln AMD. Vice-Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan gave the necessary orders and assured that the government and the local authorities will do everything possible to support the project of the school construction.
