Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenia has intellectual and production potential, which can be used to the benefit of CIS.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of “RosCooperation” representative office in Armenia that Deputy Head of Federal Agency of Russia on CIS Affairs Igor Morozov said this in Yerevan at the session of the workgroup on elaborating the project of Interstate Target Program of CIS Countries’ Innovational Cooperation.

He noted that this, in its turn, will provide Armenia with new workplaces and proceeds to the budget. “The priorities of CIS countries’ cooperation in the sphere of innovations have been repeatedly discussed by Presidents of countries. First of all, these are spheres, which may have a breakthrough effect due to uniting the entire potential of the Commonwealth countries: aircraft production and shipbuilding, energy and electricity saving, space and biotechnologies”, Igor Morozov stated.

According to the Head of “RosCooperation” representative office in Armenia Victor Krivopuskov, “Armenia has “Mars” RSC, where economy started to “get warm”, and we can intensify it due to synergetic attraction of resources from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, which may provide for real projects, which will be of interest for many economies in CIS”.

According to the Head of High and Information Technologies Department of Armenian Ministry of Economy Vache Kirakosyan, reestablishment of former ties and establishment of new ones play a significant role for Armenia’s development. “This is another discussion, during which we will sum up the results of previous meetings and will plan for our further steps. The activity of the recently established Russian-Armenian Center for Innovational Cooperation aims at this”, he stated.
