Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Development Agency (ADA) will make a transition to sectoral approach in its activity in 2010.

Mediamax reports that ADA Head Robert Harutyunyan said this at a news conference in Yerevan today. According to him, priority sectors will be defined and their heads will be appointed. Robert Harutyunyan stressed that ADA pays special attention to agriculture, high technologies, construction and other spheres.

He informed that this year the Agency intends to also stir up the activity of the Council on Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development and the Council on Information Technologies.

Special attention will be paid to business forums and exhibitions in 2010. In particular, Armenian-Slovak business forum will take place in Yerevan on March 18 and the Armenian-Turkmen business forum will take place in April. The main goal of these events, according to Robert Harutyunyan, is to provide Armenia with investment opportunities, search for new partners and markets.

Concerning events outside Armenia, Food Industry Exhibition will take place in Abu-Dhabi in late April and already 20 Armenian companies have expressed interest in participating in it. “We relate this event to the project of opening of free trade zone near “Zvartnots” Airport”, Robert Harutyunyan stated.
